First and foremost, thank you for visiting my website. I am an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher currently living in Doha, Qatar. I am also happily married (see below) to a beautiful wife. Courtesy of my spouse, I also have a wonderful step-daughter, and a son who was born in October of 2013.
I have a great desire to explore the world and experience new cultures. Since 1999 I have ventured to more than 35 states, all seven continents and 40 countries. Traveling, and teaching are my two biggest passions, and I am fortunate to do both. From 2007 to 2011, I had the great privilege of teaching EFL and English courses in South Korea and China.
I hold a master’s degree in Professional Writing, a bachelor’s degree in Communications, and a TEFL certificate. I am also currently working on a second master’s degree in Reading Education and English from Western New Mexico University, which will give me 18 graduate hours in both fields. Additionally, at the beginning of 2014 I will commence work on an Educational Leadership doctoral degree program at Southwestern University with an anticipation completion of January 2017.
I love learning, hiking, history, kayaking, photography, and keeping up with current events.
This website is designed to be a portfolio of my work, and a place for me to discuss my overseas experiences. I welcome any comments you may have.
